Positive East runs a number of Connecting You services:

HIV Testing – A rapid weekly HIV testing clinics at the Tower Hamlets office, and across East London. Tower Hamlets clinic days and times are:

Wednesdays, 5:30-8:30pm

Saturdays, 11am-3pm

Sexual health Counselling – If you are worried about becoming infected with or transmitting HIV because of the risks you are taking during sex, counselling might be an option for you. The counselling uses a range approaches that help you address the issues that affect the risks you take. To discuss whether counselling is appropriate for you, contact Andre at 020 7791 9333 or [email protected].

Outreach and information - Positive East offers outreach services to commercial venues and events across the borough and beyond. They visit bars, clubs, businesses, markets and much more to provide sexual health advice, condoms and information about testing and other services. Step Forward, the young people’s centre in Bethnal Green, East London, is part of the Connecting You partnership:

They offer a range of free, accessible, non-judgemental and confidential support services to young people aged 11-25.

Services include:

Forward Thinking clinic - For condoms, contraception and sexual health screens for infections (including HIV testing). Or simply come for advice, information, and support on sexuality, relationships, pregnancy, and sexual health.

Counselling and Personal Development - You can talk to someone in confidence about anything that may be affecting your life no matter how big or small it may seem.

Step Out - Young LGBTQ people can get individual support with coming out, relationships, identity, cultural issues or anything else you may want to discuss. Our weekly group offers a friendly and safe space for LGBTQ young people to explore, learn, discuss and socialise together.
