Hatta Hodson, who died in October this year, was a firm supporter of LGBT rights and equality.

She often marched at Pride, wearing a t-shirt that proclaimed ‘I ❤️️my gay son’ on the front, with ‘And my straight daughters’ on the back.

She was committed to raising awareness about HIV, testing and prevention, including PrEP, and wore her red ribbon every day.

She supported HERO/GMFA, with a particular interest in their work for young Black, Asian and other minority ethnic gay and bisexual men.

A memorial service will be held for her at St Luke’s Church in Battersea at 3pm on Friday 15th November.

Her children, Kate, Matthew and Beth, have asked that donations be made to HERO/GMFA in lieu of flowers.

Everyone here at GMFA and our parent organisation HERO sends our deepest sympathies to her children. Hatta will be missed by all.
