Badminton Social Nottingham

Logo for Badminton Social Nottingham Badminton Social Nottingham is a gay-friendly group that meet every week to socialise and play badminton.

The group consists of mostly gay men, but is open to anyone: male, female, gay, straight, bi or otherwise, who would enjoy socialising over a spot of badminton.

Badminton Social is aimed at people of all levels of badminton ability and involves you playing different people at doubles. It's an opportunity to meet new people in a social context, make friends and have a good time.

There's usually around 10 people at each session, and there's always room for a few more!

Gay Badminton Group

The Gay Badminton Group is a mixed ability group playing mainly doubles. The group is a friendly, sociable one and members go to a local pub for a drink after the session and organise trips out etc. Bring your own racquet or hire one cheaply at the venue.

Goslings Sports Club

Goslings badminton player Goslings is an umbrella sports club which currently covers badminton and swimming at various London locations. The club has an inclusive policy and welcomes all to enjoy sport whatever their ability. There are three weekly badminton sessions which are followed by a social in a local. The Thursday session is open to all, while Monday's is for intermediates and above.

Panthers London UK

Logo of Panthers London UK Panthers London UK is a club for Badminton players. Games are played at Kensington Leisure Centre. The club has been running for over eight years and has around 40 members.

Membership is a complete mix of ages and genders. Shuttles are provided, although you will require your own racquet. The club cannot accommodate absolute beginners, members are required to be club standard.

Gay Outdoor Club - Badminton

The Gay Outdoor Club organise regular badminton events at various locations across the country. The sessions are suitable for most abilities and the organisation links up with other LGBT badminton groups so that there are plenty of events to choose from.

4PlaySquash

4PlaySquash Team Winners 4PlaySquash is a London-based squash club for gay and lesbian squash players and their friends. The club welcomes players of all abilities, and the practice sessions aim at improving everyone's game.

They meet at several venues around London and also organise various regular social events. Their annual International Gay and Lesbian Squash Tournament at the beginning of May is one of the highlights of the year, and attracts players from many other gay and lesbian squash groups around Europe. Many of their members also compete in other European tournaments.

Tennis


Tennis London International

A tennis player Tennis London International meets weekly and between 30 and 50 players usually play short sets of eight games alternating this with light banter and heavy gossip.

The club welcomes players of all standards, but if you’re a complete beginner you are asked to attend the coaching courses first; email for details. Everyone else - turn up with a racquet, trainers and clothes to play in, and you’ll be set up for a game of doubles. The club now has 120 members and a mailing list of over 400.
