Out For Sport

Out For Sport

Out For Sport is a grassroots organisation set up by members of Lesibian and Gay sports teams in London, with three aims:

to allow visitors / newcomers to find information on all the clubs;
to promote communication between clubs, other groups, the wider community and the press
to facilitate joint ventures (sporting, social and fundraising).

Out For Sport started after the Amsterdam Gay Games in 1998 when almost 500 athletes from the UK travelled to Amsterdam as individuals or with clubs. To build up co-operation between the various groups, a number of clubs came together in August 1999, using the title Out For Sport, to organise the UK's first ever gay multi-sports meet.
