Gymnastics & Diving
London Xtreme: LGB Gymnastics & Diving
London LGB G&D is a group of LGB divers, sports acrobats, tumblers and gymnasts based in
London.
Founded in 1997, most members of the club are gymnasts and divers who ave retired from professional competition but still enjoy the sports in a recreational context. If you agree that a triple twisting back somersault is a much more interesting way to keep fit than pumping iron in the weights room, then get in touch! All gymnastics lessons are conducted in one of London's top gymnastics club and run by qualified coaches. The training schedule changes from week to week depending on availablity of facilities and coaches, please get in touch to find out when the next session is.
New participants are always encouraged, and it is the club's intention to create a fun, enjoyable, healthy social space centred around sporting excellence away from the scene. The club has performed professionally many times over the years - but it is entirely up to you whether you want to just train every week to learn a party trick or two or if you want to be good enough to perform with the very best.
Please note that London LGB G&D does not do scuba diving. Think Greg Louganis, not big oxygen tanks and wet suits.

Martial Arts
Ishigaki
Ishigaki is the largest and most well-established gay martial arts club in the United Kingdom.
The club started in 1994 and is still going from strength to strength. Over the years it has
welcomed hundreds of people from dozens of nationalities to train with it.
Above and beyond the weekly Ju-Jitsu classes (which take place in venues around London and Brighton), Ishigaki accepts commissions to teach self defence courses and workshops, and has built an impressive reputation for pragmatic and enjoyable courses.
Ishigaki is more than just a sports club - it is a diverse group of friends and the club has a vibrant and thriving social scene. What primarily brings members together is the desire to learn the skills of Ju-Jitsu. This can help them feel more confident in situations where they might be under threat. If you are interested in trying it out or coming to watch, Ishigaki would love to see you at any of its classes, or later on at the pub afterwards.

Volleyball
The London Spikers
London’s only Gay Men’s volleyball club was conceived so that gay men could come
and enjoy a team-sport in an inclusive and friendly environment. The club has players who
range from beginners through to those who play with the Advanced London Premier League.
The Spikers offers a place where you can smash, spike and dive for all the balls you could ever want; a place to growl and sweat in fierce competition, yet still scream in shock and horror should you break a nail.
The Spikers have a strong tradition as a friendly diverse place for gay men from every background. It is probably one of the most diverse groups of sporting gay men in the country, proud of the friendships and bonds that such diversity inspires. Come join in one Sunday afternoon and see for yourself. Then head off for a well-deserved drink and giggle at a local bar.
