OutZone
OutZone is a popular youth group for gay and bisexual young men under 26 who live in or around London. As a totally safe and confidential service it can offer much support for those at all levels of ‘coming out’ and those who are questioning their sexuality. The project can also help if you are new to gay life in London. The group, which was launched on Valentine\\\'s Day 1997, prides itself on its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Youth groups are great places to make your first gay friends. When run properly they are also a very safe space in which to start learning what kind of gay man or woman you want to be. However, please note, the rules and laws governing who can and cannot run a youth group are not perfect. New methods to help you confirm the integrity of people who run youth groups are being introduced over the next couple of years, but for the time being, even if you ask for references, you need to rely on your own judgement to determine whether or not the people running the youth group that you attend are responsible and trustworthy.
