Lesbian & Gay Christian Movement (LGCM)

Gay Christians at Pride LGCM exists to encourage fellowship, friendship and support among individual lesbian and gay Christians – especially to those who are subjected to discrimination. LGCM meets on a regular basis at a variety of locations across Britain, both for social and/or worship purposes. Full details are sent to national members and a selection of the main events are included on the website.

Quest

Quest logo Quest is a group for lesbian, gay and bisexual Catholics. Transgendered persons should feel themselves especially welcome. Quest was established and is led by lay Catholics; however, clergy and religious are welcome to join and support the organisation.

Quest has a network of local groups across the country, which meet regularly for mass, discussion and social events. It publishes a quarterly bulletin to members, with news of local and national interest. Quest holds an annual weekend conference with speakers on topical subjects and a programme of liturgical and social events. It operates Quest Linkline – the Helpline for lesbian and gay Catholics, which is a member of the Telephone Helplines Association (freephone 0808 808 0234).

The Soho Masses

St Annes Church The Soho Masses Pastoral Council welcomes LGBT Catholics, their parents, families and friends to fortnightly services.

Masses are held at one of Soho's most historic Catholic parish churches: The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption & St. Gregory, Warwick Street, which is close to Piccadilly Circus. The church dates from the 18th century and was used as a chapel by the Portuguese and Bavarian embassies, built during a period when public Catholic worship was still outlawed.

Imaan (formerly Al-Fatiha)

Imaan at Pride A mixed social support group with advice and information for LGBT Muslim communities in the UK and abroad. Imaan itself has been supporting LGBT Muslims since 1998. It has held three international conferences, took a pivotal role in the last London Gay Pride March in which it addressed a crowd of several thousand at Trafalgar Square and holds regular monthly meetings, Eid celebrations and Islamic study circles.

Imaan also consistently challenges both homophobia and Islamaphobia wherever it exists and has a number of notable supporters including the Mayor of London, the Metropolitan Police and some senior figures within the wider Muslim community.

Beit Klal Yisrael organises cultural, social and religious events for gay and lesbian Jews and their friends. Formed in 1990, the Liberal synagogue community has about 120 members and a mix of male/female and gay/straight - but members are mostly gay and lesbian.

Jewish Gay & Lesbian Group (JGLG)

The Jewish Gay And Lesbian Group JGLG was founded in 1972 when a small advert in Gay News attracted the astonishing total of 190 people to a public meeting called to set up the new organisation. Since then the group has gone from strength to strength. It is the longest established Jewish gay group in the world and is open to Jewish men and women who are gay, lesbian or bisexual. The age range of the 120 members is very wide and it welcomes many non-Jews and non-gay guests. Although the group is based in London, it has many members living across the country enjoying men’s and women’s social events at least once a month, as well as a Chavurah on the last Friday of each month.

Thelki

A centre and resource for gay men offering counselling, bodywork, personal retreats, spiritual direction, interfaith ceremonies (including civil partnerships), rituals and rites-of-passage, various massage therapies, and sanctuary accommodation, as well as a wide range of resources on all aspects of gay spirituality. Thelki aims to develop into a permanent intentional community for gay men.
