OUT 4 Tennis—Southern Ireland

OUT4TENNIS is Ireland ’s LGBT tennis network. It was conceived by Roy Galvin and Frank Kelly over Christmas (drinks!) in 2004 and the first-known Irish gay tennis tournament was held in Tipperary in May 2005 with players travelling from Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Meath, Kildare and elsewhere. Since the inaugural tournament, they have now developed a series of tournaments around Ireland together with a series of visits to overseas gay tournaments in the UK and Europe. Details are posted on the TOURNAMENTS page. Unlike other groups, OUT4TENNIS is a network with members stretching from Belfast to Cork, and Ballina to Dublin . Most competitive members are players with their own clubs while social members may be more occasional players. Come and join them at one of their upcoming tournaments.
