Title: Stop Smoking

Staying on track

Even though thousands of people successfully quit smoking, you know that quitting isn’t easy. Quitting requires lots of willpower but you don’t have to rely on willpower alone. There are lots of things you can do that will not only increase the likelihood of you quitting for good, but also make the process of quitting easier.

Elsewhere on this website there is information about nicotine replacement therapy, prescription drugs and the support you can get through groups, one to one sessions or distant support, but there are other things that you can do to control cravings, de-stress and not put on weight. Sometimes the solution to many of these problems is exactly the same. For example, taking more exercise helps with cravings, de-stresses you and helps fight weight gain. Having a strategy in place before you quit will help you achieve your goals.
