Self Defence

The fear of being physically attacked can undermine your confidence in taking control of situations, both in everyday and sexual situations. The Self Defence Course runs on two consecutive Saturdays and gives you the opportunity to explore, learn and practice ways to keep yourself safe in a variety of places and situations.

Who should attend?

The Self Defence Course is for anyone from the LGBT community in London who wants to learn how to deal with situations where you feel personally threatened when out and about.

Course detail:

Run in conjunction with Ishigaki, the LGBT Ju Jitsu group, the course will allow you to try and test a variety of self defence techniques, helping to build your confidence to deal with any difficult situations around personal and sexual safety that you may find yourself in.

There is also an opportunity to discuss any concerns or situations that you may want to examine with the course facilitators, to see if there are any particular techniques they may be able to suggest for you.

All Ishigaki facilitators who work on the course are Black Belt Instructors.
