Title: About GMFA

Bum Chums

Become a GMFA Bum Chum

Gay men account for 63% of new HIV infections in the UK and over 95% of these men caught HIV from having bum fun.

Despite recent medical advances in the treatment of HIV there is still no cure.

By joining forces we can help to reduce HIV transmission among gay men.

GMFA are asking gay men and their friends and families to become GMFA Bum Chums and join us in the battle against HIV.

What is a GMFA Bum Chum?

  1. Bum Chums are committed to preventing the spread of HIV among gay men.

  2. Bum Chums take responsibility for their sexual safety.

  3. Bum Chums support GMFA's HIV education and awareness work.

Why we need you!

GMFA has over 16 year's experience of developing frank, direct and effective HIV prevention campaigns. Our sex and sexual health website has been visited by more than a third of gay men in London and our group work has helped over 17,000 gay men across the country. GMFA has grown into an organisation gay men know they can trust to provide honest authoritative health advice and information. GMFA's work has ensured that more gay men are educated about the health risks that can affect them and are better informed about HIV and HIV prevention.

GMFA has an amazing network of committed volunteers, and so we are able to offer all of our services on a relatively small budget, but obviously we still need financial support from people like you. By becoming a GMFA Bum Chum you'll be helping to ensure that we can continue with our groundbreaking and effective HIV prevention and advice work.
