Dust off your walking shoes! Spring is here! Nobody ever needs a reason to get out in the glorious sunshine, but here's one to put in your diary: Sunday 20 May The Walk for Life! Naturally we're forming a team. And we want as many of you as possible to join us and raise money for both GMFA and THT. Of the money you raise, 75% comes to GMFA and goes to help fund our campaigns aimed at preventing the transmission of HIV and improving the health and well-being of gay men living with HIV. Join our team! This year's theme is Kings and Queens so get your crown jewels out for a good airing and join us on what is sure to be a great day out. To join the GMFA team first you need to register. Registration costs £15 this year. You'll need you bank card handy.. |
What to do:
Simple! Sponsor our team! If you don't fancy the walk, then please sponsor someone on our team. Go to www.fundraising.tht.org.uk/GMFA2012 and pick anyone from the page or sponsor our Team Captain, Michael Flaherty (he needs all the help he can get). Alternatively you can always make a direct donation to GMFA online by visiting www.gmfa.org.uk/donate. |

| Other News | Shit gay guys say about HIV- GMFA's video goes viral |
HIV is a serious issue. GMFA produced this video back in February 2012 to see whether or not we could reach people using viral marketing techniques. The video used a humorous approach to try to get people to think about HIV and to encourage them to access the detailed information on our website. We're keen to see if this video gets seen and shared, find out what people think about the approach, and whether or not it brings new visitors to our site. So far this video has been viewed over 8,300 times and shared on Facebook, Twitter, blogs and forums. It's still early days to see the true impact the video has had. Take a look at the video, share it with your friends and, if possible, let us know what you think by filling in the questionnaire. Your responses to this will help us to evaluate the effectiveness of this particular approach, as well as providing us with data about the potential of reaching people via the internet, and the impact that such work may have. We'd really appreciate it if you take a couple of minutes to complete the following questionnaire on this video. |
